Two people died in a road accident on National Highway 28 bordering Samastipur district. Both were uncle and nephew. A vehicle hit his bike near Godhana Thakurbari of Bachwara police station area. Late uncle-nephew of Sherpur village under Vidyapati Nagar police station area of Samastipur district. Yogeshwar Rai’s son Damodar Rai (40) and Pappu Rai’s son Monu Kumar (19) have been told.
According to the information, Monu Kumar and Damodar Rai were going from Sherpur towards Teghra on their bike. In the same sequence, bike rider nephew Sonu died on the spot after being hit by an unknown vehicle on NH 28 near Godhana Thakurbari. While uncle was seriously injured.
As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police of Bachwada police station reached the spot and seized the damaged bike. On the other hand, seriously injured Damodar Rai was admitted to Community Health Center Bachwada for treatment. Damodar Rai was referred to Begusarai in view of his critical condition after first aid at the Community Health Center. Damodar Rai also died on the way while being taken to Begusarai.
Under the leadership of Police Station President Ajit Kumar, the police force has sent the body of the deceased uncle and nephew to Begusarai for postmortem. On the other hand, as soon as the information about the incident was received, there was a stir among the relatives of the deceased. The villagers along with their relatives have left for Begusarai. There is chaos among the family members in Sherpur village.
